Well I have heard merchandising wise that you are put your most in demand items to the rear/upstairs/basement of the store so they they have to walk amongst the less in demand items to get there so that you "oh look at that, hmmm I need/want that" so you buy more items. So perhaps that is what Scheels is doing. But to be fair I have not stopped in a Scheels store for years just because I have all the stuff I need, VS 20+ yrs ago I was buying a fair amount. That being said, I bought a pair of RedWing field boots for 1/2 off and no shipping via internet from them last year. Watch for their sales.
