Ya there deffinetly worththe cash but still the ghg's are still nice.
The pro grade greenwings are definately worth it, I picked up a six pack and they are awesome. If you make it over to the Tri-Cities, Wholesale Sports (formerly Sportsman's Warehouse) has both the greenys and the wigeon in.
I do relize that out here where I hunt that you don't need a big diver spread. Last to years openning day I had 3 Groups of about 20 redheads come right in on only 3 Redhead and 5 BlueBill Decs. Its weird They say you need big Diver spreads for them Divers but I have had done Just as go on them with only Puddle duck spreads. Its werid
When I go all out for the divers I use:
6 Buffies GHG
12 Bluebills GHG
2 SU Bluebills FB
6 Goldeneys Fb
And when I hunt pubbles I either use 3 times as much or 3 times little.
MN goose season opens the sept. 5th but North Dakota has been open for 3 weekends and we shot 54 already.
I am SET. Early Duck opens up Sept. 19th, Early Goose the following weekend. Got spots lined up to hunt for both of them!! Got a dozen new Dakota Decoys Mallard floaters last week, and WOW! Best mallard decoys I have personally owned. Outstanding. Also got 1.5 dozen Canada Shells for the field spread.
Monster Field Spread:
12 Standard Big Flock Canada Silo's
12 Magnum Big Flock Canada Silo's
1 Real Geese Mag-Lite & 1 Outlaw Canada Silo
10 Bigfoot Canada's
17 GHG Pro-Grade Over-Size Canada Shells
4 GHG Full Body Mallards
6 GHG Mallard Shells
2 GHG Pro-Grade Specks
I think that's everything?? Should be a great traffic spread. I will add up my puddler spread and diver spread later...
Are those number doexens or single?
and if so jessussssss. Thats a megaspread/ We usually olny out ehh. 2-4 dozen max.
would you be a diver hunter maybe
Naw man he'd targeting the elusive mandarin duck.. and throw in a few speck/snow/ross/canada crosses too... they look like them redheads...
