Any good sites to sell taxidermy on?
Not sure what you are trying to sell but I would check the laws Local, state, and federal. Look up the migratory bird treaty act. I would check that out. May I ask why you are selling mounts?i know in Alabama that you can’t sell deer horns unless the horns are cut off the skull like rattling horns or knife handles etc.
See them on Craigslist a lot in the sporting goods section.
Just tired of them in the house and gonna remodel soon.
if I was gonna sell mine I would sell them together as a whole that way you get rid of all of them and not have a few hanging around
Your State will dictate the majority of mammals and upland while the USFWS governs migratory birds/waterfowl and CITES type mammals. Just because it's listed on craigslist doesn't mean it's legal. Selling wild migratory bird mounts is illegal per Title 50 Code of Federal Regulations and (I believe) monitored fairly closely on public forums. I know several individuals who donated their collections to museums/schools/other public facilities for display. Might be another route to consider for what you are unable to legally sell. There is a large taxidermy auction a few times a year in Macon Missouri, Lolli Brothers I think they have a website. May check your state for similar auctions.
May be easier and possibly more valuable as a tax deduction by being donated. I would think your states DNR would take them for education.
Taxidermy.net might help you get rid of a few. Shipping is always a killer on taxidermy. Maybe consign with a local auction
Can't sell waterfowl unless they're pin raised with a permit showing so ... That's a federal regulation ....
