Serious situation in Wa for hunters

    Hey guys and gals,
We have a very serious situation in Wa state were a county commissioners office has drafted a no shooting ordinance to ban discharging a firearm within 300 yards of the shoreline in Thurston County. It started as a no shooting zone by a few residents who did not like the noise. I am sure many of you have had the same situation. However, when the draft of the ordinace came up it included all the shorline of Thurston county much of which has no houses or buildings. It also included portions of the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge that contain both state and federal lands. This would set a far reaching example that could affect hunting lands nation wide. A few of us have got together and are attempting to flood the commissioners office with emails stating our opposition to this ordinance. This is not a localized issue. Imagine if they succede in getting federal and state lands closed to hunting that we as hunters paid for? How long will it be before they are in your back yard? So we are asking that anyone who is willing to do so, please send a simple email stating you are opposed to any shooting ban ordinance being implemented on marine waters, fresh waters and lands in Thurston County Washington. This is not a saftey issue. It is simply anti gun anti hunting goverment employees trying to push thru a personal aggenda. It will only take a minute of your time and help fellow hunters in need. It does not matter where you live or how far from here you are. There are Federal laws protecting the hunting rights in these areas. Please send emails to and CC a copy to
Thank you in advance for any help you, your friends, co-workers, and family can provide via emails to the commissioners office.
