Short Corn Suggestions

    I agree. We can only flood our spot to with 2 feet or so of the ears. The ducks get it just fine. If anything, you can flood earlier and maybe get some early ducks and they cant eat you out as easily. Our impoundment is flooded from mid September through mid march and we have a good supply of ears left till February then they wipe us out. Never a problem during the season

    Ducks don't have a problem getting to the ears of regular field corn, even in very skinny water. If they get in there thick enough they'll just fly into and knock it down. Agree with others on here, fertilize it and control the weeds for better yields.

    plus you get way more corn with regular field corn. And its round up ready so easy to control weeds
