My son, who is 10, is really getting into using my Canada goose calls. I have several calls some are short reed, some are flute/cut down flute, and most have been customised for me. No two of mine are alike in tone or air pressure or back pressure requirements. I'd like to get him a short reed that will compliment his capacity. A call that won't take him several months to be able to control. He's got a good sense about the cadence and what to listen for, as far as the mistakes he might make. He's really fell in love with my Gary McCree custom A50 and has told me more than once, "why didn't you have him make us two". I'd send Gary another but, this time of year is a bad time to be sending calls to him. What's a good short reed for a kid of his age and his limited experience?
