Shot Size

    I use 6's most of the time. I use 7 1/2's on dove and maybe quail, but I think chukar require 6's. I also use 6's when hunting sagehen and blue grouse.

    I like 7 1/2 for dove and quail. 6 for bigger birds or those who are wilder...

    I use #6 for pheasants
    #8 for grouse and woodcock.

    7 1/2 to 8 for Quail & doves.
    6 to 7 1/2 for Pheasant (4 mags for late season)
    6 to 7 1/2 for Chuckers and Huns
    8 for Grouse (or a .22 rimfire)
