I am already thinking about fishing.
Never happened before, but with still two weeks of duck and goose hunting left us in E Idaho, I can't get fishing off the mind.

Yeah, I'm thinking about monster Rainbows, and Small Mouth bass, but I am thinking much smaller as well.
There are places on the Snake River where there are almost embarrassing numbers of Crayfish, and I have a number of traps for those.
    My question.
How would a combo Crayfish-Crab-Shrimp cake come out?
Is that too much? Good idea? Should I drop the shrimp?
    Any suggestions/recipes?

I know there are folk here that know far more about Crayfish than I do, and they may have suggestions.

Do Crayfish hibernate? I think they go deep to escape a summer drought. But I was thinking they burrow against the cold as well?

I've caught them since I was five years old... Called them both. Not uppity enough to correct a guy using the local dialect....

Northern folk always call them crayfish/crawdad’s. Drives me nuts. They are mudbugs!

Mud bugs is an acceptable alternative to crawfish. I wish I had a dollar for every bar named “Mud Bugs” in the South.
