I really havnt used sleepers all that much, only have 18 and 8 FB sleepers with some success ,but what I have seen is geese using fields as loafing spots almost all afternoon. Some have bypassed our field and set down to feed for a short while and then tuck their head and sleep until just before dark.We don' have a lot of small ponds so I guess they use the next best

Some good points here but over the years I down sized the number of lookers I have in my spread. I personally like one looker for every 6 or more feeders and resters. Some of my lookers are placed on the upside of the main spread and a couple are mixed in the main spread. I put about 4 at the end of the spread to make it look they just landed. Also have a couple of family groups on both sides of the main group which is about 4 to 5 decoys which includes one looker. Other than that, want the birds to look content. But that's just me.
