Sleeper shells on ice.

    FFE7AFC5-17A5-493B-9FD2-8A3EC3FE1E02.jpeg I use 10 inch hex screws. Ice will melt around the screw so I angle it into the wind. I also use a smaller spread with my most realistic decoys on windy days.

    Off the subject a bit, but with season over was driving by a school soccer field covered fully with white plastic to help the grass come back quicker by early April when kid's season starts. Damned if maybe 100 resident Canada's weren't in sleeper mode right n the middle of the plastic sheet. Probably there on and off all winter. Suspect school would not look kindly on me setting up a layout by the chain link fence when season was on...

    Done the water over the ice to help them freeze! If its super windy on ice when we start is keep the sleepers stacked 2 high at least in the front to help block the wind. There's enough weight there that we've never had problems with them sliding across the ice

    I hacve GHG ls shells I just breast them into the snow . along the clear new river ice Ill put a little snow and water to freeze the front in.
