    Thanks! Think it was the Cobb Cooker (found on the Amazon/Google search)...still can't find the thread here (doesn't matter anyway, as the Google description of it outlines its heat limitations) Round Yakatori (clay lined) is what I think I'm looking for.

    I couldn't sleep last night ....again !
    It gave me something to do.
    I searched the forum and couldn't find it either.
    So the next best thing for finding a product that you can't remember the name Google image.:yes

    I never saw the original post you were talking about, but is it this? In the comments a lot of consumers say it uses about 8 pieces of charcoal. A few mention using a metal mixing bowl with drawer knob added to the bottom to use as a lid, or ceramic pot with handle added. Then it will be a small smoker.
