I recently bought a shotgun from a guy who smokes cigars. Didn't notice it until a few days later when I decided to put the gun together, but the gun itself has that smokey smell to it. I personally don't smoke. Anyone have any advice for how to clean it or something to wipe it down with so that it might remove the odor? Its a black synthetic Benelli if that helps.

Go down to the local pot shop, buy a bud and rub it all over the gun. Or you could just spray it down with WD40. Then wipe it all off.

He'd a been in real trouble with the old men who taught me to hunt, one pipe smoker two cigar smokers and cigarette smoker in the blind.
Take the gun hunting few times and drop it in some gumbo mud, that stink will over ride anything on the gun.

You could always take up cigar smoking.

Tow it behind the boat for few miles and then turn her barrel down for 60 seconds in a pail. If done in salt water, let her soak the night after the tow treatment and the day's hunt in the bath tub and then do the pail thing for 60 seconds.
