    Thanks for the tips! My buddy wants to try the Potomac tomorrow night. I was wondering if it is too early/cold still.....he claims someone came into the store (he works at Anglers) and they shot the **** out of them a week or so ago......

    Joe I watched a guy shoot one off the bridge while driving across Allen's Fresh the other day. They catch/shoot a lot of snakeheads back there.

    What do you use to catch them? Surface plug, plastic?

    I would say the most popular lure people use is a weed less frog. That said, they are like a cross between a pickerel and a bass. So anything you use for them would work. Weed less lures are best since they like the thick stuff. Wire leader wouldn't hurt either, big sharp teeth!!!

    I catch the most using a rattle trap or a lure that rattles(gulp shrimp). I shoot the rest...
