I've got two 4hp outboard options. One is a 68 or 69 folding model with the short shaft and weighs about 40lbs. The other is a 93 long shaft that weighs about 70lbs. I've never even run the 93 but may try it first just because.

I'm thinking the hull weighs about 170-200lbs. I want to keep the rear from sitting low if I can help from it.

Thanks for the advice and info. I may need to make it up there to check out the bay one of these days just to see it.

Thought I'd ask some sneak boat brothers for some info around Red Bank NJ. A friend is going there for some business and is wondering about getting on a marine tour of the Statue of Liberty. Anyone have any info to lead my friend in the right direction? Tour companies?

Can somebody post up a rig all grassed up please? I grabbed up four bundles of fastgrass type stuff the other day and am a bit stumped as to how to go about getting it on there and how to get it to lay to look natural and break up the outline well.

4 hp is a dog. Won't plane. Probably end up selling it and finding a 9.9.

I run a 15 on my semi-displacement sneakbox. Runs about 20 knots at best.

I use mostly natural grasses. Here are some pictures to give you an idea.

12 ft, typical length. Slightly smaller or more traditional sized cockpit.

Still hunting for a bigger motor. Found a good deal on a yamaha 9.9 on craigslist but I wasn't quick enough. I am second in line in case first guy backs out though.

Plan on finishing the wiring tonight. So far I installed front and rear navigation light plugs and some interior green LEDs so I can light up the underdeck area and not have to dick with a headlamp or flashlight.

I'll post some pics after I get it done and grassed.

    Thanks A-5, it's a Bob Fricke, built in 2000.
