FYI, I booked with Toyes Big River Guide Service. Glad I asked here and I really appreciate the responses. Hoping NW Missouri will be a good choice for hunting that week. Fingers crossed!!

Should be about ideal. If anything was to be wrong, the masses may be gone but what you do see will be the best decoying birds. I'm trying hard to not blow vacation days too early this year but they may be going fast and furious soon.

Don't forget to visit quackers, sportsmans lodge, and the klub while you're in the mound. The klub is also the waterfowl hall of fame and has some pretty neat area historical pics and items.

Good choice picking Tony. He is the only Guide service I'll hunt with. This was a 130+ bird day at Tony's pond 2 years ago.

Hopefully the weather plays in your favor. That seems to be the biggest factor. IMG_2752.JPG

Our group leaves Sunday to hunt with Tony. Always a good time it will be our 6 or 7th time with him.

Heard quite a few guides are scrambling right now, didn't have clients booked this early and they weren't setup yet.

You should be in for a treat. I'm getting reports of lots of geese around Squaw right now. I'll be setting a spread in my field Friday night. Can't wait! I imagine mound city will be a zoo this weekend.
