Has anyone ever seen a snowy owl in northeast Arkansas? My bud and I saw one friday morning sitting on a barrel at 40 yards. This was before we started drinking and it was a big beautiful bird that would have made a great mount lol. Maybe they have started to come down with the eagles which seem to be coming around in bigger numbers every year.

There is a farm up there that raises them, you must have seen an escapee. The locals call them cotton hawks.

Would it be better for a sober yahoo to shoot it? Those things are omens of death of a family member. Just like white blue jays.

I have always heard about the omen of death for killing any owl. Very interesting that some escaped and continue to live in the area. It was a really big, pretty bird.
