speck hunt for giant canada hunt

    hello i am interested in trading with a fellow hunter a speck hunt for a giant canada hunt.. lodging can be provided and only a few days notice are required.. any offers would be appreciated. willing to travel a few states. i am in louisiana..... arkansas. oklahoma.kansas. missouri. would be ideal locations. thanks

    We have lots of geese here if the weather cooperates. How big do you want to get to consider it a "giant". We have a lot of 11 lbers but over 12 are hard to find...

    That is about all we got around here also..10-11 punders are about the norm... I am thinking you need to head farther north like pennsylvania, or minnesota to get some of those (greybrows) they breed them big up in that part of the country...at least they are genetically bigger. branta canadensis maximus, is the largest of the canadian geese also called giants.. rochester, minnesota has a population of them.. don't know how many of them they have, might be worth looking into... good luck ..

    That's a great offer. Hope someone takes you up on it. I think we have close to 10 different sub-species of Canada Geese up here. Everything from Westerns (avg 10lbs), Dusky's (7lbs) down to the tiniest of Cacklers (2 lbs)

    if you ever wanted to come to west ky or so ill. i can do the geese or timber mallards. of course snows and blues in spring.

    we got giant canadas biggest we weighed was 15 lbs and we pile em if you are interested in coming to illinois let me know
