Drove the Sacramento NWR tour loop and found a few geese. Probably saw more geese than ducks. Pintail was the most numerous duck by far. I did see 3 snow geese hanging out with a group of specklebellies

Heard it last night and again tonight. My buddy got married on township and Oswald tonight and we were setting up the place last night. There was a little bit flying around the last couple nights. I agree, awesome to hear it

We hunted dove opener in the Suisin Marsh by grizzly island, they ducks got about and it was pretty well loaded. I thought I heard specs while walking the dogs early one morning. Wasn't many but never saw them.

Heard and saw the first ones of the season for me at Sacramento NWR during clean up day last Sat. Garret said they had started showing up several days before, nice to hear that call on the wind again.

Curlews are in towards Stockton. Them big ones aren't far behind.

Can't wait to hear them at night.

Seems mighty odd to see you guys speck watching when we've just started September teal season. Not apt to see more that a few lost specks for another month or so.
