Most of those Spoonies come with Rice already attached ! Which can be easily hidden in the Polenta ! Hmmm
I love me some Polenta and Chicken Casatori ! No , NO Spoonies !

They eat just fine. I would take a strap full of spoonies any day.

That is very true years a go at our old club we cooked a bunch of spoonies one night for dinner didn't tell the guys what they were besides ducks , they loved them some guys said it was the best mallard that they ever had , we just smiled and said thank you.
There is nothing wrong with eating spoonies :dv

So my boy whacked a couple spoons and plucked them up perfect.
    I grilled them perfectly.
I also sat back and watched him chew,,,1,,2,,3,,4 chews.
He looked at me and gagged.
    I laughed.

    I'm still laughing.

    Fun to shoot tho.

I got to disagree with ya Rav....

I see more rice in mallards, teal and pins...but I don't really shoot to many spoonies, unlike some that think I do..:nutz:doh

This one was a heart breaker, had him all picked and trimmed up and peeked under skin.....:(....but I did get a lot of carbs eating this one...rice and corn

The trick is......don't look under the skin !
By the second Cocktail of Jack or Makers , it becomes easier to swallow each and every Bite ! So , start early before Cleaning those birds .

Hell No.... No amount of booze could make up for eating a bunch of worms !!! I cooked one once as a test to see if they would go away when cooked...Hell no .. no way ... I got a little throw up in my mouth just thinking about it !

Even tho I won't eat Rice Breast birds myself , I have never had other people turn down seconds of birds cooked in the barrel !
Naturaly birds cooked this way have their skin on so , what you don't see , can't hurt you (or) them !
