There have been a few thousand each of past few mornings working over the duck clubs north of st Louis MO along the miss river. Appears they're jumping back and forth from IL.

Going to have a pretty good snow line here in Illinois. In Pekin we have about half an inch on the ground now with about 3-5 coming this afternoon and no temps in the near future to melt anything.

6" in central iowa. That will hold them back for a week or 2. We get started 2/24 and will hunt through March weather permitting. Should be right on time.

5" in Eastern NE with another 2-6" forecasted for the weekend. After that there are no temps that will melt it in the 15 day forecast. The first warm spell after that will be a mass exodus of adults breaking North, will be a sight to see!

Sounds just about like central Illinois from about Havana north.

Northern Kansas has 2-6 inches on the ground, depending on where you are. Still snowing, and temps are supposed to be frigid tonight. Similar conditions in the Squaw Creek area.

For some reason they were pushing up the miss river north of st Louis heading into a snow storm and a snow line not too much farther north. Who knows if they were locals just moving around but they looked like migrators with groups scattered all around, some working fields, and others at migration height heading north as the sun set. I did hear one group headed back south around 7pm in the dark. Hoping a snow line isn't too far north of us in the near future and we hold some to chase for a while.
