Lots of birds heading NW over Palo Iowa all morning today. Also saw a few large flocks just to the north of Des Moines yesterday. The push is on.

Drove through Squaw yesterday. May just be fluctuations with so many birds on the move, but there were not near as many as what were there on Sunday. Still big numbers but it remains to be seen if they stage there longer than they have been the past couple of years.

Yup, they are showing up at Big Marsh which is still pretty much frozen over. Several nice groups in the area though.........

It is a migration event because almost all of them came in within a 48 hour period this past weekend. On Sunday there had to have been double this count number. Will be interesting to see if the high numbers hold there awhile.

So what does all this mean? Have a friend that will be going on guided hunt somewhere NE of Kansas City MO starting on the 5th. will they be in birds or will this be a little late for that area?
