At age 80 almost 81 most folks form of exercise is walking from the couch watching tv to the fridge. My Dad ( lo-base Larry ) is a different breed. Just last month he was up on his roof fixing some siding and painting the eves. Don’t try to help cause he’ll say what am I supposed to do sit in my chair and do nothing. Every other week chemo doesn’t slow him down either. It’s scheduled on non shoot days. Yesterday we hunted with DERODOM, thanks for the invite! By the way he can shoot. Made some impressive shots in the fog. Day started off strange with a gun issue for my Dad. A lanyard string got stuck in the action. Like stuck stuck it wasn’t coming out. So my dad hikes all the way back to the truck to work on it. A bit later he’s back with a fixed gun. Had a pair work nice and the old guy pops the Drake first and then we all decided to rag doll the hen. Dog picked it up and I thought I saw something. Hopefully we get another hunt or two in before the end of the season. While bird numbers are down this year it’s probably been one of my most memorable seasons. Hunting with good friends and family is tough to beat. Of course there is the day that my son, Dad and my brother left me behind and they all shot limits by 8:30.
