Wow is all I can say. Dan texted me last night letting me know about this. One of my biggest fears while on the ocean. Like you many years and hours on the big pond. Im glad you Moppy and Jeff are all safe and sound. Did Moby leave any barnacles in or on the Cat?

crazy story, but with a happy ending - thank God!

Reading Mark's post got the adrenaline pumping in me and I wasn't there. I can only imagine what went through their minds.

Not that we could see... but there a good amount of rub rash in the gel coat finish in the tunnel, not sure if they can be rubbed out and deep scratches and chips in the gel coat on the bow of the left front bow. The boat is slipped on a hoist so its hard to get a good look till the boat comes out of water.. No cracks though .. Like I said the heavy 1 1/4 inch stainless bow rail has a good size bow to it

Glad everyone is ok and the boat came out relatively unscathed... When I was working on party boats out of Avila, a guy was on his way in from tuna fishing on his Davis and a humpback breached and landed right on top of the boat. They weren't nearly as lucky.

HOLY MOBY, what a story! Kudos to Jay for lightning fast reactions and a great decision. You just can’t prepare for something like this.

Thanks for sharing that Mark. Nice ending.

I'm always nervous when they around the boat!

Breaching is all bad, the boat and crew will not make it though something like that.. I think the Davis boat you mentioned is the boat I spoke of..Like I said, loads of guys have stories of... all most, close by , just missed us too, but getting a pretty good slap gets your attention.

We had a huge blue whale out there yesterday really showing off, big flipper waves and splashes loads of white water.. pretty amazing to watch! Big cridders for sure... My wife wanted me to take her whale watching, I think she has changed her mind now...:l:l
