I’m looking at switching up my spread to super mags for a high pressure area I hunt. Tangle free supermags seem to be the Best Buy. The G&H are tall. Does anyone here hunt with giant supermag decoys?

I use a dozen mixed flambeau and G&H along the edge of a wide open bay. Their pulling power is amazing. They're not practical for a lot of situations but when they are they are worth it.

I flat out love S.Mags. I've hunted super high pressure areas with 12
neumann bennetts plasti duk super mags and they pulled birds better than 3 doz. standards that were pulled after each hunt. And I've done just as well or better on walk-in marsh hunts with 3 S. mags then I did with 2 1/2 doz standards.
I call them the big uglies for good reason.:yes:l:l

Higdon battleships. Heavy as hell because they're foam filled. You can see them from half way across the lake though.

Spend the money for the G&H's. You will hunt over them for years. I have some that are over 15 years old and regular G&H's that are over 20.

I went down to Knutsons today as they are 20 minutes from me. They had the oversized avian x that were $112/6, 22” tanglefree for $104/6 and G&H supermags were $154/6. I tried to get the tanglefree’s but they didn’t have anymore. They said tanglefree quit distributing decoys and you have to buy through them now. They are sold out on their website as well. Very odd.

I ended up buying a dozen of the avian x oversized. I’m looking at plasti-duk and some used G&H supermags as well.

I would be all about the plasti duk’s if they weren’t foam filled.

Tanglefree is 10 minutes from my house, I don't care for most of their made in China junk but do like their oversized mallards.:tu:tu:tu

We hunt over 6 doz G&H supermags, and wouldn't trade them for anything else. Had the foam filled decoys back in the 80's. Waaay too much weight!
