Swans

    i heard Delaware may have a swan season next year- it would be great if MD would go ahead and put in for one as well!!!

    I wonder if that would effect/ lower our Va allowance.

    Don't think a Maryland or Delaware swan season would lower Virginia's "allowance" (if allowance is used to mean swans that we can kill) per se, however the question is are more swans that wintered in Virginia wintering in Maryland/Delaware than in the past. I think our Virginia wintering numbers are lower in my area the last few years, but that is just from observation in some unusual climate years.

    From the way I understand it- the Atlantic flyway is allotted only so many permits-
