I'd be glad to take a vet deer or turkey hunting on my lease about 15 miles west of Fort Knox, and even though I'm a newbie duck hunter any vet is welcome to tag along with me as I learn the ropes. I have extra equipment if anyone needs it.

    Hey guys, just a thought...

If you call the MWR (morale, welfare, and recreation) folks on any military base and let them know about your offer, most would be happy to post a note on their website and/or bulletin boards. A lot of the guys on the bases may not get to this forum.

Speaking from personal experience, a lot of folks in the military just give up on hunting when they can't find a buddy or two on base to hunt with.

    Richard,

No problem. You won't really need the pod, just a gun and some shells. I'll get you on some birds when I'm home.

    HDD, Richard,

Do you think RW could handle two Bubbleheads in the blind at once? He could be scarred for life. It would be great to get up in that neck of the woods for a hunt though. Keep me posted and I'll mark the calendar if we can coordinate this.

My high-school football coach once told me during practice, "Weythman, you're exactly the type of guy the marines are looking for." I'm guessing the growling and hyperventilation before the snap didn't help my case  .

With that said...come on over. I'll get you guys onto some "real" ducks  aka scaup, ringers, cans, and even a few widgeon.

How does that last week of December sound?

    RW

PS Weekdays work better if we can swing it :tu .
