Question for you all that hunt Shanks.....Do they mark the pools/hunting spots during season? My son and drove through there this weekend and we were amazed on the lack of signage. We hunt the southern duck parks, and the signage isnt great, but substantially better than what we saw.

Usually during hunting season the refuge areas are fairly well marked with the white or sometimes yellow plastic Refuge Area, No Hunting signs. They may take them down every year to change the refuge areas around or to keep people from liberating the signs.
Basically with Shanks if you find plenty of ducks feeding/roosting then your in a Refuge Area.

In my experience, the guys running the draw are great about giving you a map and making sure you know how to get to your pool. Each hunting pool is marked with a reflective sign.

We were up that way seeing family, so drove thru. Hunted the southern duck parks a bunch, was just amazed by lack of direction.
