Awesome, more word play, can I play too?...

Statement No. 1: Bestiality marriage must be forbidden, said the Republican senator from Wisconsin, "simply because natural instinct revolts at it as wrong."

Voila, bestiality is now protected.... :clap:clap :reader

I will get back to Jaeger - don't have time now...

    No word play by me.

Unfortunately for you, not even a blinddog 'voila' can make an animal a consenting adult human. 'Voila', we're right back to where we were after my last post........(and I reckon we will stay there).

Blinddog contends that gay marriage is wrong because of the federal definition of marriage. From that I conclude that when owning slaves was legal by federal law it was OK since we know that federal law can't be wrong. Makes sense to me.

That makes as much sense as saying that all federal laws are wrong because some were in the past...:tu

Nobody has suggested that all federal laws are wrong, just pointing out that they can be/have been in the past. You seem to be making the case that gay marriage is wrong because of federal law, a weak argument in my opinion.

I have given many reasons that the definition of marriage should not be changed; the federal being non-discriminatory is merely one of them.
