10 day looks real good. Maybe we get all the birds from those dang Yankees this year hahaha
I saw some flocks of mallards today that were migrators. One group circled and circled and circled some more, but never gave a shot. One group had 30+ flying high. Fingers crossed it just gets better.
We're doing our best to send them your way...no thank you's necessary...lol Good luck be safe guys
Blue, have your birds showed in any numbers? That barnyard grass infestation you had should be darn good if they’ll just show their arses up.
Chatted with a buddy earlier this week that lives close to Saginaw Bay in MI and he said the guys were still doing great the last of the season on divers and puddle ducks had left for the most part, cept' fer' the hot water ponds of factories
Weird we killed them pretty good last Saturday. 6 blacks 5 mallards and handful of teal. Did not hunt this week. Went back this morning. Saw a fair number but they were Sunday driving around with no particular place to go. High flyers with no sense of urgency probably due to warm. Will get really good this week before it freezes hahaha
I do not think the mallards are here yet in full force
I have yet to see the Nov thanksgiving +/- week push of mallards we get in our swamps every year like clock work.
Had a banded in Michigan mallard end his migration in the northern piedmont of VA on sat.
Let those go please!! I will send coordinates to direct him
