I'll just leave this right here. It's long overdue. If you can't adapt, you won't like this.

    This has SHTF potential.

It all sounds good and it should probably be done but wait until all the retail businesses start whining to their buddies in the state house. If this is implemented, it will result in exactly the type of hunting I love and was raised on. If this report is true, pretty much every GTR has been grossly mismanaged.

So what's the plan to keep boneheads from killing each other during "dry" years? Duck hunters are absolutely incapable of policing themselves. So what's the plan? Draw? Drop a few hundy mil on more land?

They're hoping all the destroyed lower units, broken belts and wrecked gear drives will take care of that.

Nawwww, them new short shafts that are the rage now are built like tanks. a log or stump might jar your wrist a bit, but the motor won't tear up. Better have a good transom tho.

I like the idea, sounds like sound management, mimicking the natural 7 year cycle. But, the question remains, how you gonna mitigate crowding issues during the dry years? I know some Arkie residents think otherwise, but putting a quota on OOSers ain't gonna do a damn thing. It's just gonna bring more homegrowns outta the woodwork.

Don't rule out the loss in revenue from banning those OOSERS too. Those $35.00 stamps far outweigh the $7.00 resident stamps on WMA's. It's gotta be done. I can show you places where what they describe is happening.

I always figured they'd rotate WMAs (only BM closed one year, only DD closed one year, etc, etc, etc).
