Jose Garcia came to the United States nearly 50 years ago, when he was 13, ABC 7 reported. He was granted legal resident status under the Immigration Reform and Control Act, during the Reagan administration.

Natalie Garcia told Fox 11 that the agents told her they were arresting her father on an administrative warrant, for a domestic violence conviction in 2001, and that they said they couldn't show her the warrant. Then they dragged him into a car.

Her father had pleaded no contest and completed his sentence for the misdemeanor conviction, according to the Daily News.

"He’s a taxpayer. He’s a homeowner. He’s worked in the same job for more than 35 years," Natalie Garcia told ABC 7.

Either he didn't comply with the requirements to maintain it "nope" or he violated a law which can result in deportation "yes".

There’s more stories out there like this.

Either way does this person seem like a clear and present danger to be deported?

Good seems we are actually following the law on the books. Don't like it then change the law! Until then you abide by it!!! Kudos for them doing their job!!!

Controversial immigration arrest is the title of the video. Isn't all immigration enforcement by considered controversial to many liberal and democratic folks? I would be very surprised if there isn't more to the story than the press has put out in order for ICE to be getting involved if he was truly granted legal resident status.

all of the folks here illegally need to go. Tired of hearing they have been good citizens and democratic voters, blah, blah, blah.

they should all be classified as felons for illegal entry or illegally staying over. the folks who don't want to support law enforcement and spend tax payer dollars should also be charged as felons and prosecuted.

No tax dollar funds should be provided for schooling illegals or providing any other assistance.

Chum, a worker at a local farm was deported this past winter. He has been here under a work program for 12 years. During that time he married, has two kids and was going to college. Nice guy for the most part! However he liked to drink or had a problem with consuming to the point he had 4 DUI arrests, and domestic violence charge for beating his wife while drunk. Local liberal rag showed a happy family crying over his deportation. Yet he continued to drive, with no insurance was suppose to as a parole requirement not consume booze. His last arrest which led to his deportation was for public intoxication.

I knew him, and he would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was however a threat to public safety that outweighed his benefits!! Context!!!
