Now, now let's be nice. Thunderheads are great broadheads. It is a good thing that the bow's poundage was only 10 lbs. If it had been an ounce more it would have been a clean pass through. ;)

I wonder what lead up to him being shot? It sucked being him that day....

The story with these pictures was on the internet about 2 years ago. If I recall, 2 guys were practising from a treestand w/ broadheads....at a broadhead target. There was a miscommunication with the guy in the tree, shooting and the guy on the ground retrieving the arrows.

The guy shooting said that his arm, lower bow limb, riser, etc. were blocking his view from the guy walking from the treestand, directly below him, toward the target. As he released, he watched in horror as the arrow struck the other man in the back of the head. :z

There were no charges and IF I recall properly, the 2 men were brothers, but I could have it wrong. As I said, this was a couple of years ago when I first read this on the internet.

    In either case....OUCH!
    Good hunting, Bowhunter57

Both men were extremely lucky that it wasn't worst. I'm surprised that he wasn't killed.

I saw those before. It didn't pass through becasue the arrow never even left the string. His head was just in front of the rest. He was filming. If I rememeber the story right. :z
