My buddy has gotten drawn for Thorny Cypress Pool 2 in West Tn. This will be on Jan. 2nd and we would like some suggestions if anybody has hunted there. Tell us how you did and what your set up was. Did the ducks work good and where did you set up in the pool. And also do we need an ATV? Any ideas will help thank you!

I haven't hunted that pool before so I cant help with experience. I will say the GW are some of the best in terms of advice. Give them a call several days prior to your trip, Leave a message. They will call you back and tell you everything you need to know.

Hunted Thorny on Fri, Sat & Sun and the ice was thick. Can only image what it will be like after 2 more nights of single digits. Wind chill yesterday was brutal, -2*.

Kill anything? There are a lot of ducks in the general area.
