I'm not sure but I'll ask if he knows. I have several of his inserts he had tuned and ready go but he never matched them to barrels. Several blanks he never turned. All "ivory". Quite a bit of black too.

    Snowman,

How is Ray doing ? I heard he is not well. Do you have any info?

The checkered McCann I just bought for $350. Not sure if that is low or high, but I have not seen any out there for sale so I think it was a good deal.

I have a shotgun shell call that is purpleheart and osage insert. It has the McCann stamp and is signed and dated 1997. I have only seen one other one like it and that was 10 years ago.

I haven't talked with Ray in few weeks but he has been doing fairly well. Chemo been kicking his tail but he's holding up.

Side note on an old topic, hoping someone might know- After Mr. McCann's passing, did anyone pick up his call making business? What happened to his line of calls and his equipment? He mentioned a grandson in his video?

I bought this cocobolo McCann call sometime between 1985 and 1995, used it until it developed a minor crack. Great woods call, I wish I had taken proper care of it at the time.

I googled it and found a post where a gentleman from AR had a line of calls called Georgiaquacker that were very similar as he had learned from Mr. McCann. Website is down...not sure if he is still making calls. Hope so, they looked really good.
