The Sunday Snow Goose is a great idea... just be prepared that it will not happen, unless you want to lose the compensatory days during the regular duck/goose season since Snow Geese are waterfowl...

Why? The Snows are not counting now, I don't think. Doesn't the season for Snows go until March?

Because then a form of Sunday Waterfowl Hunting would be legal, thus losing the ability for compensatory days.

As has been stated in every sunday thread for the last couple years it has to be ALL or NOTHING.

How come the extended season on Snows doesn't count toward the 60 days? Apparently it can be worked around!

Because Snow Geese aren't a 60 day season. Neither are Canada Geese.

You can't compare snow goose season lengths to sunday waterfowl hunting.

    Wow this thread's still kickin...:yes

Snow goose is different than ducks which is different than brant which is different than canada goose which is different than sea ducks...but they're all waterfowl.

Correct me if I'm wrong Jerry but if one version of waterfowl season allows sundays the other's must count em in the total days allowed which if we weren't allowd to gun them we'd loose the days.

So they are treated the same during the 60 days, but differently outside of the 60. Mmmmm. Now that sounds pretty much like Federal BS. The simple solution then is to go ahead and allow Sunday hunting for all waterfowl. :dv
