The whole northwest is freezing today and tonight. The ducks should be on their way. I suspect tomorrow and Thursday could be the best days of the season. Get after it and post pics when you're done.

I'm going out for my first time in AZ. Hoping the area around Wilcox produces something.

In a couple of weeks going to try out hunting in Flag. Do you think it will be to frozen by then.

Super excited to get back in the game. Come on duck gods!

It's going to freeze this week. Don't forget the Mountain Zone ends two weeks before Desert. Whitewater draw down there near Willcox can be pretty good.

Sorry, Been a while since I've been down there. I figured with the wet year we've had it would have to have some water.

On Saturday I headed out to the Wilcox Playa wildlife area. Besides the closed lake area, not a drop of water except for one puddle in the road.

Sprinted over from there to Whitewater. Two tanks are flooded, but people were sitting on both. Still managed to scratch out one duck and learned about the area. Going to head back out there in the next couple of weeks.

There were birds in the area though so that was nice to see.

Thanks for the internet scouting report! You definitely are a rookie to the sport.

You could find out that information just as easily by making one phone call. So call me a rookie all you want. The people who want to hunt will hunt no matter what. It doesn't matter what I put on here.

Hope it helps you out. Maybe you will get off the internet now and get in the field.
