Headed up to Ririe Reservoir just East of Idaho Falls to catch Kokanee Salmon in the morning.
Would also like to catch some perch, even if they run small up there.
Going with Son-in-Law in his new boat. He went today and caught 7 of the tasty fish.
    I want some too!

Good luck on your Kokanee trip. Those fish are best consumed fresh not frozen as they are delicate. If you do end up with extra beyond a fresh dinner try smoking them. A short brining session and cold apple/cherrywood smoke.

Well,It wasn't a great day for Kokanee. I lost two, but Son-in-Law caught and landed three. Gave them to me.
They run smallish. Maybe 12 inches, but all three are going in the Skillet for an Angler's breakfast with Scrambled eggs with just little spritzels of Sharp cheddar on top, and heaping masses of home fries as a side, and Jan's homemade jam on an English muffin.
Hey! They could have come to a worse end!
