Can anyone explain this set up. Two lines coming off each of the positive and negative poles of the battery set up. Positive lines have 60 amp fuses. Each line has its own connection on a four prong outlet. motor only has two lines. What is the purpose of the extra lines.

Likely to power another component on the boat (depth finder maybe?)

Thinking I might have to replace the receptacle and wondering if I can go to one line.

Both those + cables carry 24VDC. No reason on earth to have two of them. No reason to have two - cables, either.

Bottom battery shows a (-) on the right side. That means the positive is on the left side of the closest batter. That terminal is connected to the negative on the top batter if the two red cables are attached to the positive.
