Tube call

    i just got a 1981 knight n hale tube call. It didn't come with a diaphragm . Apparently upon my looking around a balloon is too thick of a material. If I remember correctly try dental dams? I've looked at rite aid, Walgreens , cvs n Walmart and a porn shop. Guess a dentist is my only hope?

    Exercise bands. I think the thin ones are equal to the old "heavy" diaphragms

    Good info on exercise bands. I try to remember to ask my dentist for a bunch every couple of years.

    Definately a frustrating learning curve. I get a good honk it's like 200 notes later n i get another, n it's a freakin accident lol

    Wasn't kidding about the Trojans. An old codger I knew was making tube calls long before they were commercially available. He used a small snuff can (Red Seal) and a cut piece of a Trojan. I never tried it but in his hands, they sounded pretty dang good. He also made a version that he used for turkey hunting.
