Back in the mid-1990's my son and I were up at LK for opening day. We were first in line at the gate with camper and boat. When we started to drive into the refuge it started to get real smokey, like thick tule fog. I knew the roads really good but the smoke got so thick that I was having to slow down with a lot of trucks following me. That was the only time that I have ever hunted in thick smoke. The smoke cleared up about an hour later.

Maybe they will drain it “on accident” while they are at it!

I think it is a good thing. That way, the air boat can find guys easier who are stuck where they thought there was actually water.
