Watching some of the polls what people were most concerned about before the vote was health care. That and the fact that enrollments for ACA are at high levels. People voting there pocket book is remarkable. The person most against the ACA is Trump and a few of his supporters. I believe the numbers are 38% Trump supporters, 68% support the ACA. This could be a main issue for 2018 This doesn't look good for Republicans.
Republicans had their chance with healthcare. All they could come up with is a way to do nothing for middle class on down citizens. They need to find a way to align with the actual middle class, they keep failing miserably at it. Same goes for the Democrats.
Some economists are talking a greater then 20% correction because of profit taking. Depends on how the tax plan goes and who is paying dividends I guess. But in my humble pedestrian opinion...when the correction comes it's going to be a big one in some sectors. McCain is all but campaigning for the democrats.
But that's the point. Many Repubs believe that Health Insurance isn't the duty of the Federal Government to provide. Getting the Federal Government involved has been screwing it up for the actual middle class.
Obamacare insurance rates to rise 36 percent in Wisconsin next year... But subsidies will aid most in Wisconsin.... Looks as if many of the "choices" of Health Insurance providers that Wisconsin Residences had packed up shop and got the hell out of the Cheese State. So that means they have to get on the exchanges again and sign up for new Health Insurance coverage AGAIN... Because they lost their Health Insurance Provider... So no - enrollment numbers aren't up of new enrollees - they are up because old enrollees lost the coverage that they had and had to get back on and sign up again. The increases — and the loss of three national insurers in the state from healthcare.gov, affecting more than a third of the 216,000 residents who get insurance that way — also reflect instability in the market, Wieske said. http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/lo...cle_aca5f9b8-9d28-5d57-95e3-060462506256.html
The issue I see is the Republicans have been winning and beating the Democrats for 10 years now. BUT have done nothing to change anything for anyone or the people. Nothing has changed, and they/we (LOL) have had the power. Sadly they have not served the people that voted them in.
I'm not happy either but what would the expected outcome have been if the Dems had been in control over that period instead? Don't sacrifice good by waiting for perfect.
Fortunately, enough folks are able to look past shiny things for a greater good. That’s how we got Trump. Considering the alternatives, its almost enough to renew ones faith in mankind.
