I have several buddies that live in the Umatilla area and they report it's super hit and miss.....mostly miss this year.

JD, had a great hunt over there and shot three limits over a few weeks ago, and there were a lot of ducks. The buddy I went with hunted the following Wednesday and they killed two, and saw more ducks than we did the weekend prior. He said most of the ducks went out to feed and never came back like they usually do. My son has a pick on the 14th, hopefully it will pick by then.

FYI, looks like they just closed the whitcomb island unit so they could mow the corn for the birds.

With all the birds that go out the Oregon side I can't emagine the birds are out of feed. Washington State Fish and Wildlife closed Whitcom due to health concerns so I'm patiently waiting to hear if Oregon has similar plans in umitilla.
