    Hey everyone,

I have been feeling highly motivated to scout recently, and want to start being a bit more precise about how I go about it. Some guys who really have their programs dialed in have advised that people pay more attention to the food sources in a given body of water if they are looking to shoot a certain species.

So my question to you all is... what are some good starting resources that will help me get a more systematic understanding of the types of plants that will be growing in a given pond, lake, marsh, etc. Or, coming at it from the other direction, if I've identified a plant that a given species will be targeting, understanding which types of bodies of water to target to find that food source.

Thanks a lot for any help you all can provide.
