My old man and his buddies are getting older. Want to get a 4 seater UTV like a polaris or similar. Need something that can hold 4 people easy with a bed. Want to be able to use it to spread seed/fertilizer for planting, haul wood, haul corn (after season feeding), tow small trailer or move boat around if necessary. Would be used in area with up to 1' of water. Basically something to get people to blinds but also something we can use to work. Any suggestions??
    Thanks

First concern is having someplace close if service is needed. Don't have a UTV, just a couple of Arctic Cats that are 11 years old. Haven't needed much work done on them, did lose a stator on one, and it is 90 miles to the AC dealer. In retrospect, I would have chosen one of the brands from the local dealers.
These days, most of the brands are pretty good. Take em for a ride at the dealer. See what suits your needs.

Suggest a ranger or kawasaki fx4. I love my Pioneer but with 4 on board the bed is full. I just couldnt get used to the hige turning radius but I do everything you listed with mine. Good luck.

Give the Can Am Defender a look, if you have a dealer nearby

I use a Polaris, pull & haul a lot of gear. A foot of water in muddy rice fields is no problem.

Our local refuge has a polaris i believe with a bed, but has tracks. That thing hauls 4 guys gear and pulls a trailer thru 1.5 to 2 feet of water with NP. I was impressed when they hauled us out to our blind spot.

For what OP will spend on a UTV that will meet all those requirements, I personally would find a used farm tractor and a used serviceable Jeep CJ or similar 4x4.
    My two cents

How about a brand new CJ7?
