Harvested a banded Snow Goose here in Washington State on the last day of the season. I've submitted my report(s) but have not heard back yet. This had a leg band and a neck band.

    Congratulations!!
Let us know when you get the band info back. I'd be interested to know how old the bird was. I see a few every spring over here in MT that are banded at Wrangel Island. I'm guessing that's where your's was banded.:D

You lucky dog. Thats great hope you get a mount to put that on someday. Did you see the neck collar on the bird when you shot it? Just curious or were you happily surprised when you retrieved it?

    Thank you.

I did not see the band(s) until I run out to pick up the geese. Three of us had spent an hour crawling into the flock from different directions. I'm 36 & started hunting waterfowl at age 15. These are my first bands.:D

There was an article in the local paper that said the red bands were put on the birds approx 13 years ago. I'm still waiting for something official back on my reported bands.
