Weather has been floating around single digits and below zero for almost a week now but the next couple days it's supposed to jump up to close to 50. Will feeding patterns change with the jump in temps? Been duck hunting for years but just got into goose hunting a couple weeks ago

    Thanks for the advice

I would exclusively hunt water to water movement on a warm up.

If you know a roosting or loafing pond that had geese on it before the freeze in an area with a good population, go rip a hole open on the South shore get ready. They'll be back. They hate mega roosts that occur during freeze ups. Too much fighting and carrying on with other geese. They'll want to get back to their old neighborhood.

They'll start coming out later to feed, making afternoon hunts questionable if they come out early enough.

I think it will be a while before any holes will be opened up, Ice is awful thick.

We've been hunting them in the evening when they head out to feed. They've been flying round 4 every evening.

Yeah ponds are super thick right now. Below zero off and on for 3 weeks here

Then drop an ice eater in for a couple days and bring extra shells!
