Says it is for submerged lake and pond weeds. Cattails are emergent and pretty thick based.

I think you'd be better off spraying and burning or drowning them if you can control water.

Water level is not controllable. Better to spray and/or burn?

I have a weed razor, works ok on sumbmerg weeds, coon tail etc. will not do much to catails. Gets very hard to pull if weeds are thick, l use the ATV to pull and weight down the weed razor. I cut my catails down on the ice and spray to kill in some areas.

I guess was the best option is to cut on the ice and then spray if needed.
    Thanks
