Sat, great didn't miss a bird. Unfortunately it was only one greenwing. Beautiful day not much flying at my locale in the north grasslands. Even went for a little swim in the pond (tripped). It was such a nice brisk morning to be soaked, Burrrrr!
    Take Care,
    Jesse

Had to hunt a secret spot here in the east bay, because I was too tired to drive from my nights in the city. Hunting was slow, only fired a handful of shots.

Hunted the rice south of Grimes on Sat. and 4 or us got 14 birds. 5 Greenies, 4 bull sprig, 3 gaddies, and 2 widge. Sun. I hunted a local slough and we ended up with 6 birds for the group.

    Finally A Good Day!!

Got skunked again in my rice blind in the Richvale area on Saturday, hunted with a friend on a club in the Woodland area on Sunday and smoked 'em. Shot too many shell's but stilll had tons- o-fun. Ended up with:

    1 snow goose
    1 drake gaddy
    2 bull sprig
    1 hen mallard
    10 greenheads

The hen mallard was an oops bird, my buddy pulled up to take a greeny, and pulled a Scotch double on the drake and hen. We planned on shooting nothing but mallard and sprig, but had some afternoon comitiments with my buddy's kids so finished up with the drake gaddy, was first one I had shot in a long while. Also missed my first chance ever at a Cinnamon teal, I choked badly, we just do not ever see them where I hunt, also had a blue wing swing by, but was well out of range. Never have killed either of them before, definately part of my wish list!

Gonna give it a chance again on Monday at my blind,

    Brian
