How did 1st weekend of dove season treat everyone? Wife and I got our limits early the first day, then is slacked off fairly quick after opening morning. Figured the weather played a good part in it with the storm brewing south of us.

We did good Sat. and Sun. Monday was slow. I was just glad to be back out there with my dog and dad. Wandering what effect this weather will have on the birds this weekend.

Going to try them tomorrow. That front seems to have pushed some birds down. Hope we have some good luck. Just going to be muddy as all get out. But at least this rain will make the corn sprout so the doves won't be as scattered.

Had some buddies go and they zeroed out on their tag. Going back out for dove. Good practice for teal opener coming up next weekend. Going scouting sometime this weekend to see if teal are moving in. Getting about that time!!!

We hunted this morning. Killed some birds but the mud was awful. Hopefully there are a few teal in the south delta next weekend. I'm ready to throw some on the grill!

Well, heavy rains came and work called, so no hunting or scouting done this weekend. But the change in weather was surely nice. If it'll hold like this like the forcast says, we ought to have the teal down by the weekend, if not sooner.

The temp has been real nice lately. Hoping for a push of teal birds for the weekend. Lucky Man, what part of the delta do you hunt?

All over pretty much. Clarksdale to Rolling fork, Yazoo City to Tallahatchie County , Greenwood to The River, all points in between.
