Have to make the best of my time while I'm here on the west coast, so when I got an invite from a friend to hunt with him at his club in the Suisun Marsh I quickly agreed. With the 60+ degree weather the hunting was a bit slower than normal, but we had a great time over the course of 2 days. Pintails were a given and then we just sat and watched them all day after that. Ate well, killed birds, had fun...what a great weekend.

I saw that on the weather report. Brrrrr. :l To be quite honest I miss South Dakota period. We're already making plans to turn one of my garages into a heated carving shop in anticipation of staying next winter. :tu:tu

I think he said the club was 300+ acres. They use boats to access the ponds. The blinds are sunken round tanks on small islands and the ponds are all easily wadable. It was a real treat to get to hunt there.

Don't do that Dan. Quite honestly the "average joe" hunting in South Dakota is head and shoulders above anything I ever had in California.

Heck Gene I wasn't referring to the hunting there because I've done that. I was referring to the weather.
